BREAKING NEWS: I am proud to announce that I was recently accepted to speak at the Joint Research Centres Conference at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, Norway this November 1 - 3, 2017. This year's conference is looking at "The Protean Musician: the musician in future society - What does the future look like for the musician in society?" I will be presenting a lecture examining the history of Jazz education over the first 100 years and what contemporary Jazz degree programs are currently doing to meet the needs of their students post graduation in the 21st Century.

On March 25, 2017 I returned to Peter Karl Audio Services with Hyuna Park on piano, Luca Rosenfeld on upright bass and Gary Fogel on drums to record three new compositions which can now be heard for the first time on my website either on the player to the left or by clicking the audio tab above. The pieces are titled:

Eternal

Love Dance

Two as One

On May 6, 2017 I presented the first of a three part concert series entitled Harmonic Explorations. This performance took place at the Treehouse in Manhattan thanks to both Richard Shaoul, owner and Luca Rosenfeld, curator. Along with myself on trumpet and flugelhorn we had Braden Smith on tenor sax, Hyuna Park on piano, Luca Rosenfeld on upright bass and Gary Fogel on drums. This first concert was dedicated to my composition teacher at the University of Miami, Ron Miller who opened my eyes and ears to the possibilities of modal Jazz harmony. Links are provided below to view the videos of this evenings performance.
